Who We Are

The ISLAM AWARENESS FOUNDATION (iAF) is a UK-registered charity dedicated to promoting an authentic understanding of Islam, addressing misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, and fostering community cohesion.

Our work focuses on education and public outreach through street dawah, free Qur'an and Islamic literature distribution, and community engagement.

We also provide humanitarian support, delivering food, water, and essential aid to those in need, regardless of faith or background.

Guided by the values of mercy, justice, and service, we work to strengthen communities and promote understanding across the UK.

Our Objectives

Our organisation aims to promote Islam and support community welfare through the following initiatives:

• Producing and distributing Islamic literature and educational materials

• Organising seminars, interfaith events, and public outreach programmes

• Setting up dawah stalls across major UK cities — including London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham, and others — to engage in open dialogue and clarify misconceptions

• Providing guidance and activities that support the moral development of young people

• Promoting social cohesion, understanding, and positive community relations

• Supporting the poor and needy through food, water, essential items, and financial assistance

• Sharing the message of the Qur’an with non-Muslims through free distribution and personal engagement

Our Vision

We envision a thriving, compassionate community where people of all backgrounds are welcomed and supported through the teachings of Islam.

We aim to establish:

• A peaceful Islamic Centre for worship, learning, and community engagement

• A dedicated food bank serving the poor and vulnerable

• A welcoming space for Muslims and non-Muslims alike

• A hub for education, youth development, interfaith dialogue, and moral guidance

• A sustainable and environmentally conscious community facility

Through these efforts, we strive to promote kindness, moderation, tolerance, and lasting community harmony across the UK.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote a greater understanding of Islam through education, outreach, and compassionate community service.

Since May 2022, we have:

• Organised 550+ dawah stalls across major UK cities

• Distributed 48,000+ pieces of Islamic literature and 18,000+ Qur’ans

• Facilitated 700+ people embracing Islam

• Supported new Muslims with guidance, resources, and Umrah trips

• Distributed food and water during dawah activities and contributed to local food banks

We are currently working towards establishing a permanent Islamic Centre and food bank to serve the wider community, including those facing financial hardship.
